Floor area calculator

Calculate the amount of flooring needed for your room.

1. Measure the room

Measure the width and length carefully. For precise measurements, you can measure in centimetres, then convert to the unit shown in the calculator before entering values.

2. Calculate the area

If you have several rooms, measure each one separately and add their areas. Enter the total in the calculator.

3. Choose a cutting allowance

Allow 5–10% extra material for cuts. A 10% allowance is a common starting point; the layout and installation pattern determine the amount you need.

4. Read the result

The calculator gives two areas in square metres: the measured area without an allowance, and the area including your chosen allowance. Check the pack coverage of the selected product and round up to full packs before buying.
