Description
Grey Oak Istanbul stands out in the collection thanks to its plank width: instead of the standard 18.4 cm it is 23 cm wide, and each pack contains 8 panels. The wide format visually lengthens and widens the room, reduces the number of visible joints and gives the floor a more prestigious look, especially in large living rooms and open spaces.
Istanbul: silvery grey in a wide plank
The decor has a light grey base with a cool, slightly silvery sheen and a long, gentle grain. It is a colour that goes perfectly with white, graphite, black and chrome, as well as with fashionable combinations of grey and walnut or oak wood. A grey floor works well in modern, industrial and Hamptons-style interiors.
A rigid SPC core that is not afraid of water
At the heart of the panel is a composite SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) core made of calcium carbonate and PVC. It is 100% waterproof, does not swell with moisture and keeps stable dimensions, so the floor can be laid in kitchens, hallways or bathrooms (outside the direct shower area). The factory-bonded 1 mm underlay dampens footstep noise, evens out minor subfloor irregularities and means you do not need to buy a separate underlay. The floor feels warmer underfoot than ceramic tiles and is easy to keep clean.

How many packs should I order?
Panels are sold in full packs. One pack contains 8 planks, which is 2.2448 m² of flooring. Add an allowance for cuts to the measured area: about 5% for straight installation and about 10% for diagonal installation or irregularly shaped rooms. The calculator on this page converts the area into packs automatically.
- 10 m² + 5% allowance: 5 packs (11.22 m²)
- 20 m² + 5% allowance: 10 packs (22.45 m²)
- 30 m² + 5% allowance: 15 packs (33.67 m²)
Where can these panels be used?
Use class 33 and abrasion class AC5 mean the panels are also designed for high-traffic areas. They are suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, children’s rooms, hallways, kitchens, dining rooms and bathrooms (outside the shower cubicle), as well as offices, surgeries and commercial premises. They are a good fit both for new homes and for renovations.
Installation and care
- Before installation, leave the unopened packs in the room for 48 hours so the panels adjust to the temperature and humidity.
- The subfloor must be clean, dry, level and load-bearing; level out larger irregularities before laying.
- Leave an expansion gap at walls, thresholds and other fixed elements.
- Lay planks taken alternately from several packs to achieve a natural distribution of shades.
- Inspect the panels before installation and report any comments on their appearance before laying them.
- For everyday care a vacuum cleaner and a slightly damp mop are enough; do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaners and do not leave standing water on the floor.
- Stick felt pads under the legs of heavy furniture to spread the load.
Frequently asked questions
Is a wider plank harder to install?
No, installation is the same as with narrower planks: the panels click together in a floating system. With wide planks, simply take extra care to ensure a level subfloor, as longer and wider panels sit best on a flat surface.
Are these panels suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes, the SPC core is 100% waterproof and the surface has slip resistance class DS. In the bathroom, lay the panels outside the shower cubicle and wipe up spilled water promptly.
Can the panels be laid over underfloor heating?
Yes, the panels are suitable for underfloor heating. The thermal resistance of the integrated underlay is 0.025 m²K/W and its thermal conductivity is 0.040 W/(m·K), so the floor transfers heat efficiently. We recommend that the total thermal resistance of the floor does not exceed 0.15 m²K/W. Follow the heating system manufacturer’s guidelines.
